Volunteer Boards

  • Zoning Commission - five members review all zoning changes and recommend a decision to the trustees. Members are appointed to overlapping five-year terms, and meet every third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

  • Board of Zoning Appeals - a judicial body which rules on variances and conditional uses and on interpretations of the zoning resolution and zoning inspector. Overlapping five-year terms; meetings are second & fourth Mondays at 7:00 p.m.

  • Visual Improvement Program - ensures preservation of the natural beauty present in the township. They oversee public flower plantings, visual improvement awards, Christmas decorations, and other beautification activities. Four-year terms; meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Public Works Building.

  • Recreation Advisory Board - eleven-member board consisting of four from other public entities, and seven at-large citizens who serve four-year overlapping terms. The board acts as a liaison between citizens, staff, and the trustees, reviewing facility concerns and making recommendations to the trustees. Meetings are on third Thursday of odd months at 7:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center.
