Normandy Cleaners Is Recognized for Green Technology

Washington Township Trustees have recognized Normandy Cleaners with a proclamation recognizing the township business for introducing eco-friendly technology to their dry cleaning process.

Normandy Cleaners, 419 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., has replaced chemical dry cleaning with a hydrocarbon cleaning process that reduces energy consumption. Although the new eco-friendly technology has required a significant financial investment, the company has made a commitment to maintain its current price structure.

The September proclamation recognizes the local dry cleaner for “energy conservation efforts, for its dedication to its customers, and for its commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment in Washington Township.”

In addition to placing less stress on the environment, the new technology eliminates chemical odors, provides a softer feel for garments, and limits color loss.
