The Washington Township Fire Department is an internationally accredited agency providing fire and emergency medical services to Centerville/Washington Township through a cost-effective combination of full-time, part-time and part-paid staff. Fire and EMS crews respond from five fire stations strategically located throughout the service area.
Staff members responded to nearly 6,000 fire and medical emergencies last year. To stay prepared, they receive ongoing instruction in fire suppression, emergency medical services and specialized rescue techniques. A bike patrol provides agile first response at festivals, sports events and gatherings with limited vehicle access.
Motorists should move right

The township's Fire Alarm Office assigns personnel and equipment to all fire and medical emergencies in Centerville/Washington Township. Emergency (911) calls are received by a police agency, and then routed to Washington Township Fire Department dispatchers.
