CPR Instruction for the Public
Class information and availability

One of the services provided by the Washington Township Fire Department is instruction in Cardio-Pulmonary Resusciation (CPR). This is an important skill that can be learned by almost anyone. If you would like to protect the lives of your loved ones or friends, please consider taking one of our classes. Programs are also available to those involved in healthcare services or to those required to have certification but that are not medically licensed.

Additional classes may be scheduled for special groups or circumstances. Please contact us at least 30 days in advance to schedule a special class.

Class Schedules and Information

Heartsaver Course

This class is offered to those that may be required to have certification by an employer, but are not medically licensed or certified. It is also open to anyone interested in receiving child and infant CPR instruction in addition to adult. Classes are held Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 10 p.m.

Dates for 2008 include:
January 17, February 21, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20, and December 18.

Cost is $35. Checks Payable to Washington Township Fire Fighters Association. Books for the class are included in the registration fee.

Healthcare Providers Course

Held the second Saturday morning of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class is for medically licensed or certified persons (EMT, RN, MD, DO, nursing students or nurse assistants). This course includes adult, child and infant CPR, as well as AED instruction.

Dates for 2008 include:
January 12, February 9, March 8, April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13, October 11, November 8, December 13.

Registration is required by at least the Monday before the class. If three people do not sign up the class will be cancelled for that session. Payment must be made at time of registration.

Cost is $40. Checks Payable to Washington Township Fire Fighters Association. Books for the class are included in the registration fee.

First Aid

Held every other month from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. as scheduled. Call 433-3083 during business days 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
