NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL UNNEEDED, OBSOLETE OR UNFIT FOR USE TOWNSHIP PERSONAL PROPERTY BY INTERNET AUCTION

Be advised that on the 8th day of February, 2010, the Board of Trustees of Washington Township adopted Resolutions expressing its intent to sell unneeded, obsolete or unfit for use Township personal property by internet auction.  The Township shall contract with GovDeals, Inc. to act as its representative for the purpose of disposing of said property through the www.GOVDEALS.com website. All such property shall be offered for sale pursuant to the Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio's "On-line Sales - Terms and Conditions" and shall be sold on an "As-Is, Where-Is" basis.  All items will be available to the public on GOVDEALS.com for a minimum of fifteen (15) days.

The Township has also contracted with the Board of Commissioners of Montgomery County, Ohio to act as its representative for the purpose of disposing of said property through the GOVDEALS.com website.  Said property may be offered for sale pursuant to the Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery County, Ohio's "On-line Sales - Terms and Conditions" and will be sold on an "As-Is, Where-Is" basis.  All items will be available to the public on GOVDEALS.com for a minimum of fifteen (15) days.  Montgomery County, Ohio shall be responsible for collecting all fees and for all costs associated with the collection of payments.  The County shall deduct from all gross sales a fifteen percent (15%) commission for those items sold via internet auction. 

This notice will be posted on the Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio webpage (http://www.washingtontwp.org) and will be accessible by selecting the link entitled “Notice of Intent to Sell Township Personal Property Via Internet Auction.” A complete copy of Resolutions R2010-006 and R2010-007, along with the “Online Sales – Terms and Conditions” will be posted along with this notice. A copy of the same will be available for inspection at the office of the Fiscal Officer for Washington Township, 8200 McEwen Road, Dayton, Ohio 45458 during normal business hours.
