Safetyville Square

Safetyville Square is a fun and entertaining way for children entering kindergarten through second grade to learn about safety this summer.

Topics include pedestrian, bicycle, motorist, playground, fire and home safety. Children receive a lesson on safely boarding and riding a school bus, get acquainted with firefighters and police officers, and explore a fire engine, ambulance and police car.

Then they put their classroom learning into practice by participating in a miniature safety village. Children are taught to be safe pedestrians and motorists with child-sized buildings, crosswalks, streets, traffic signals and signs while getting the opportunity to ride on deluxe big wheel trikes.

Classes are taught by teachers from Incarnation and Centerville Schools with assistance from the Washington Township Fire Department, Centerville Police Department and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Find information about Safetyville and register here:

Class Times & Registration

Two-hour sessions run 8:30 to 10:30 am or 11 am to 1 pm at Primary Village North, located at 6450 Marshall Rd., on these dates:

June 5-8
June 12-15
June 19-22

About Safetyville Square

In 2013, the Centerville Evening Optimist Club reorganized and revitalized the safetyville program with financial help from the Mark A. Kreusch Memorial Fund. Safetyville Square is a coordinated effort of Centerville Schools, Washington Township Fire Department, Centerville Police Department and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
