Members present: Mitzi Lowery-Lehman, Marlene Tiernan, Mable Leyes, Cheryl Mauer, Cynthi Fraley, Bob Harrington, Greg Henderson.

Others present: Joyce Young, Yvonne Dunphe, Mike Wanamaker, Mack Van Allen, Kathy Yanko.

Amendment to the September minutes are as follows: If members attendance is less than seventy five percent (75%) in a calendar year, or three (3) consecutive absences will result in resignation or removal from the committee.

Joyce Young agreed to have the Trustees look at attendance policies for all of the committees.

Introduction of guests, Mack Van Allen, and Kathy Yanko.

Wanamaker updated the group about the “no parking” zone on Yankee Street. Montgomery County recently installed the signs.

Wanamaker indicated that plants will be purchased to place in the townships pots for the autumn and winter months.

Yvonne updated the group about pruning around the buildings and the future locations of the pots.

Yvonne discussed the potential of new flower beds at several locations including Fire Stations 43 and 41.

Cynthi asked about Emeral Ash Borer. Yvonne has been talking to Wendy Van Buren about reactive verses proactive mitigation when and if Montgomery County is quarantined. There is currently a spray that is somewhat effective but is very controversial with the impact to the ecosystem.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:50 pm.
