Containers—hanging baskets, cocoa matt containers

Wreath—succulents or small plants

RTA shelters chosen in previous meeting are too large for Route 725 bus stops. Grant from RTA will pay for majority of cost. Sites are at Lyons Road on both sides of 725 and Washington Village Drive. VIP suggested using roof design and color of small shelter shown in brochure shown to members. Wanamaker needs specs, cost and type of structure to meet deadline of grant.

Beautification award nominations should be turned in to Mary Zdesar or Spees. Discussion of exclusion of VIP members for nomination was held. Tiernan moved to include VIP members. Harrington seconded. It was approved.

Wanamaker distributed a print-out of budget and explained availability of funds.

Wanamaker is getting information from Bronner’s about purchasing more banners. These will be placed on Route 48 at Southbrook and at Brookmont. Because new poles along 48 are smaller future purchases will include two sizes of banners. When complete the Government Center Median will have smaller poles and, therefore, small banners. Fraley will look into putting banners at Hithergreen Senior Center.

Tiernan moved to publicize (in Quarterly) that the banners were designed by VIP member, Drain. Leyes seconded. It was passed.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:45PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Sandra Spees
