WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES
March 13, 2006
The Washington Township Board of Zoning Appeals met in regular session on March 13, 2006 in the Meeting Room of Washington Township Government Center. Members of the Board present were Mr. Khouri, Mr. Dunn and Mrs. Fischer. Mr. Horine and Mrs. Mulligan were excused.
Call to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Khouri explained the hearing format and voting procedure.
The Oath was administered by Mr. Khouri.
MOTION – Mrs. Fischer moved the minutes of February 27, 2006 be approved as submitted.
Motion seconded by Mr. Dunn.
VOTE - Mr. Khouri, yes; Mr. Dunn, yes; Mrs. Fischer, yes.
Case A-1456, Chow’s Asian Bistro, 1061 Miamisburg-Centerville Road
Request is for a variance in the required conditions of a Special Use (SU) zoning district to allow for outdoor seating.
Jack Kuntz, Zoning Inspector, presented the case.
Applicant represented by Dennis Cleary, owner of Chow’s Asian Bistro. Mr. Cleary addressed the Board with the case.
Citizens voicing concerns, question and comments included: None.
Board remarks, concerns, and questions included: None.
Hearing closed.
Motion - Mrs. Fischer moved in Case A-1456 to approve applicant’s request for a variance in the required conditions of a Special Use (SU) zoning district to allow for outdoor seating.
Motion seconded by Mr. Dunn.

Case A-1456 approved.
Case A-1457 – J & E Custom Homes
Request is for a variance in the required conditions of a Business (B-2) zoning district to allow for parking in the twenty foot (20’) required buffer zone along a public right of way.
Jack Kuntz , Zoning Inspector, presented the case.
Applicant represented by Mike Anderson, Van Atta Engineering, 570 Congress Park Drive. Mr. Anderson addressed the Board and presented the case.

Motion - Mr. Dunn moved in Case A-1457 to approve applicant’s request for a variance in the required conditions of a Business (B-2) zoning district to allow for parking in the twenty foot (20’) required buffer zone along a public right of way.
