PRE-MEETING WORKSHOP

May 19 , 2008

I.       University of Toledo Study

         Jesse Lightle reported that there is no final draft of the University of Toledo Report yet available.

II.     Training

         Jesse Lightle presented a sign up list to the elected officials with times available for ethics training.

III.    Miscellaneous

         Spring Valley school is requesting 20 miles per hour flashers in front of their school.  The school will purchase and maintain the lights and Washington Township will install them. 

IV.     County Roads Update

         Mike Wanamaker and Jo Postle gave a brief update on their meeting with the County Engineer.  Social Row Road and Austin Road updates are scheduled for 2013.  There was also a discussion on improvements to Washington Church Road, a discussion about an improvement to the Clyo Road and Spring Valley intersection scheduled for 2013, and about replacing the bridge on Alex Bell Road, east of Mad River, in 2010. 

V.      Board/Commission Training

         Training for all Board and Commission members is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on May 21, 2008.

VI.     Other

         Terry Blair gave an update on the possibility of new elected positions in Indiana.

All formal actions of the Board of Trustees of Washington Township concerning and relating to the adoption of resolutions and/or motions passed at this meeting were adopted in an open meeting, and of any of its committees resulting in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with the law, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
