PRE-MEETING WORKSHOP

June 16, 2008

I.         Sheriff Phil Plummer

           Sheriff Plummer updated the Trustees on changes following the retirement of Sheriff Vore.  He indicated that policies and contracts will remain unchanged.

II.        Addendum Item

           Jesse Lightle passed out information concerning an addendum that will be presented at tonight’s Trustee meeting.  The item concerns the replacement of four compressors at Hithergreen Senior Center.

III.       Waste Management

           Jesse Lightle gave an update on waste management collection in the Township.

IV.       Rec Advisory Board

           The Rec Advisory Board is requesting to add a youth advisory member.

V.        Merger Questions

           There was a discussion on appropriate responses to potential questions asked by residents concerning the merger issue.

VI.       Nuisance Abatement

           Jo Postle presented ideas on the mowing of undeveloped lots.

All formal actions of the Board of Trustees of Washington Township concerning and relating to the adoption of resolutions and/or motions passed at this meeting were adopted in an open meeting, and of any of its committees resulting in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with the law, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
