I. Woodburn Creek
Tom Toberen presented a drawing of Woodburn Creek and a check from the Reinke Group for a section of road not completed. When Woodburn Creek is developed, this check will be applied to the completion of the road.
II. Issue II – Paragon Road
Gary Huff presented an update on the Issue II grant application for the “S” turns on Paragon Road.
III. Financial Study
Gary Huff gave an update on the financial study between the City of Centerville and Washington Township.
IV. Social Row Road Property
There was a discussion concerning selling land on Social Row Road to the Centerville City Schools.
V. Strategic Planning Committee for the Fire Department
Jesse Lightle gave a presentation on the fire department’s strategic planning committee and asked one of the Trustees to volunteer to be on the committee.
VI. Park Improvement Grant
Tom Toberen presented a grant request for park benches at Oak Grove Park.
VII. Weekend Arrest
Stephanie Studebaker, a resident of Washington Township and
now running for Congress, was arrested for domestic violence.
VIII. Other
There was a general discussion concerning the increasing number of thefts in Washington Township.
A letter of response to Laini Rini about the recent death of a six year old in front of the Rec Center and the dangerous left turns from Garnet Drive was discussed.
Shirley Ozio discussed the speed limit on Atchison. She believed the speed limit was too low.
