Pass Holders Choose Online Registration
The first group of residents tried online registration this spring for recreation center programs – and the response was overwhelming. Now all residents can register online.

How to Prepare for Online Registration All Centerville/Washington Township residents are now able to register online for recreation programs. Before registering in this way, it’s necessary to obtain a user account with a user name and password. To do this, call the Washington Township Recreation Center at 433-0130 or stop by the Recreation Center front desk. At that time, you will be asked to verify household information, including the names of family members, birth dates and grade levels if they are in school. Online registration is limited to household members whose names have been provided to our staff, so be sure to include all family members who might be interested in programming . |
Nearly three fourths of resident complete pass holders chose to sign up for classes online, according to Deputy Administrator Jesse Lightle. On the first morning of registration, 120 opted for online registration compared to 47 who registered in person.
“This tells us that residents want this option. People can avoid lines and register from their own home,” said Lightle, noting that more than 80 people registered online in the first 30 minutes.
Rec center users can sign up online for hundreds of programs in aquatics, dance, sports, art, fitness, theater and more found in the Washington Township Quarterly. (Some programs still require in-person registration.)
The township’s safe and secure web site accepts MasterCard or Visa from people who have established an account (see related story). Anyone can browse through the entire selection of recreation programs by clicking the recreation linkfound on the township website: www.washingtontwp.org.
