Trustees Plan Neighborhood Nights
Residents are invited to join their neighbors at an upcoming Neighborhood Night with the Washington Township Board of Trustees. Trustees will host residents from a different quadrant of the township during each meeting in May and June. “Neighborhood Nights will allow trustees to focus on the interests and issues of residents in a particular area. It also will give residents the chance to interact with elected officials and their neighbors,” said Trustee President Lee Snyder. The evening starts with a 7 p.m. reception with refreshments, followed by a 7:30 p.m. Washington Township Board of Trustees meeting at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Rd. Residents are encouraged to participate in the public comment portion of the meeting and, if they like, stay for the remainder. A group of second graders representing each school in the quadrant will open the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. “Residents always are welcome to attend Trustee meetings and comment on issues of importance to them. However, we hope Neighborhood Night will encourage even more participation,” Snyder said. Township trustees will send a personal invitation in the form of a telephone announcement to residents of Centerville/Washington Township. |
