Vacation House Checks – Plan a Secure Vacation

A quick phone call to schedule a Vacation House Check can improve your peace of mind the next time you take a vacation.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office offers the service free to travelers, whether they're gone for a weekend or for a month. House checks are done once or twice a day while residents are away. Typically, deputies walk around the home, testing windows and doors and looking for signs of change.

Plan for a secure vacation. Place your request with the Sheriff's Office a few days before you leave by calling 225-HELP (4357). A dispatcher will ask for your name and other pertinent information.

Home Security Audits

The township offers free Home Security Audits to residents who desire information and advice on how to improve the security of their home. A trained deputy will meet residents at their property to conduct a comprehensive review of interior and exterior security factors – including doors, windows, locks, lighting, landscaping and more.
