Snow Removal & Ice
Control
When will they get to
my street?
We
realize that although everyone would like to
have their street done first this is not a realistic
approach. So we have prioritized our snow removal
routes as follows:
Major
Roads; Miamisburg-Centerville (Rt. 725), Rt.
48, Lyons, Marshall, etc.
Steep Hills; Rahn Rd, Munger, Brittany
Hills, etc.
School Zones
Secondary Streets
Cul-de-sacs & Dead Ends
During
severe storms our road crews are on the job
until all roads are cleared.
Roads Maintained by Montgomery County
Even though the following roads are located
in Washington Township they are maintained,
plowed and salted by Montgomery County road
crews: Alex-Bell Rd, Mad River Rd, Yankee Rd,
Clyo Rd, Social Row Rd, Austin Pike, Paragon
Rd (part), E. Spring Valley (east of 48)
& Rahn Rd (between Marshall & Mad River)
Do
you shovel your driveway and then become frustrated
when the plow goes by and pushes that snow you
just shoveled back into your driveway?
If you answered YES try the following tip shared
by our Road Crews. When shoveling your drive
put that big pile of snow you make to the left
of your driveway. (When facing your driveway
from the street.) When you do this the plow
won't push that snow back into your drive. Of
course, it is inevitable that some snow will
be in front of your drive after plowing but
this little trick will help to keep it at a
minimum.
To
help us and yourself it is the property owners
responsibility to keep their mail box cleared
of snow. If you have a fire hydrant in front
of your house it would be helpful to keep it
cleared as well.
