Rec'ing Crew - Grade K to 5

The staff at the Washington Township Recreation Center would like to encourage you to enroll your child in the Rec’ing Crew program during the school year. The staff is confident that the activities and field trips will provide hours of fun for your child.

Rec’ing Crew will continue to provide a variety of recreational opportunities throughout the week. Your child/children will play in the gym, climb “The Wall”, swim, use Rec West game room, theater, make crafts or utilize the 26-acre park for a variety of activities.

The primary goal of this program is to make each child’s leisure time enjoyable, by introducing many activities and games that will enable them socialize positively with their peers in the Recreation Center’s safe and healthy atmosphere. Children will have a homework period daily to reduce their need to use family time at night for school work.

Registration Information and Fees

Rec’ing Crew will be “Kickin’ It” After School at Rec West Everyday!

Registration Begins Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 6:15 pm in the Rec West Lobby

This non-refundable fee will be taken at Registration throughout the summer. This fee will be added to the first month's bill if registering on or after August 1 and throughout the program year. All bills will be sent and payment required by the last day of each month after the initial registration.

Registration Process for the 2013/2014 school year

Families must contact Linda Madden to make an appointment for a personal orientation and registration meeting. Call 438-7985 ext. 2820 for Linda Madden or email lmadden@washingtontwp.org for an appointment.

All payments can be made at Rec West or online once the child/children have been registered

Hours for 2013/2014

The program will operate from August 14, 2013 – May 29, 2014 until 6:15pm daily.  Alternate programs will be offered on School Days Off and Spring Break. A separate fee will be required for those programs.

School Days Off - Grades K to 8

Registration for school days off starts during the fall registration. Check the Web Guide for information. Each "School Days Off," the children will meet at Rec West, using those facilities, along with one or more of the following: field trip, crafts, mind games, sports challenges, swimming, climbing wall or park play (weather permitting.) Please bring lunch, swim suit and towel each day.

This schedule is tentative. While it is our intention to follow the published schedule, changes may need to be made due to inclement weather or site difficulties. No refunds will be given for location changes to our schedule.

Teen Taxi - Grades 6 to 8

Teen Taxi provides school day transportation from Centerville middle schools to the Rec Center. This service is a great option for students participating in Rec Center afterschool clubs/programs or those who are looking for safe and fun place to hang after school.
