There’s Still Time to Nominate a Neighbor for a Beautification Award

Is there an over achiever in your neighborhood – someone whose gardening skill, landscape design and property maintenance are heads above the rest?

Washington Township invites you to nominate them for a Beautification Award. Nominations are accepted through the end of summer and are based exclusively on recommendations from the public, including friends, neighbors and relatives.

Award of Merit winners – who are selected by citizen members of the Visual Improvement Program (VIP) Committee – receive a certificate and mug and have decorative lawn markers placed on their properties.

The same properties are considered for a Beautification Award which recognizes individuals who, by improving the appearance of their property, have made an outstanding contribution to community beautification. Beautification Award winners receive a matted certificate with a photograph of their property and are recognized at a township trustee meeting and reception.
