On October 5, the Township had the honor of recognizing Firefighter/Paramedic Mariana Jones of the Washington Township Fire Department, who was the recipient of the Robert O’Toole EMT/Firefighter of the Year Award.

Mariana is an outstanding member of the department and well respected by all her colleagues. An exceptionally competent firefighter and paramedic, she continuously strives for improvement while bringing a positive attitude reflective of who she truly is. Congratulations, Mariana!
The Robert O’Toole Award was established by the Centerville Noon Optimist Club in 1998 in memory of Bob O’Toole, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on January 12, 1998. The Award aims to honor those in our community who unselfishly give of themselves in service to others.
