On May 16, 2022, Washington Township dedicated the Washington Township RecPlex West building in memory of Joyce C. Young, former Township Trustee.
Joyce was a remarkable woman and a champion for Township residents. She was proud to call Washington Township her home and she worked hard to create a thriving community that would last for many generations. As a strong proponent of the impact of local government, she was always encouraging those around her to get involved and her name was synonymous with community volunteerism and leadership.
Through Joyce’s many important contributions, we now ensure that her legacy will have an enduring significance for all who visit the RecPlex West building.
