Lyons Rd. Bridge Construction

Lyons Rd. Bridge Construction
Posted on 06/21/2021
Beginning the week of July 12, the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office will be replacing a bridge on Lyons Road. The bridge crosses Holes Creek and is located approximately 300 feet west of Yankee Street. According to the Engineer’s Office, “the existing bridge is encountering significant deterioration, has a 20-ton vehicle weight limit, and is supported by temporary jacks. The new bridge will accommodate five lanes and have raised sidewalks on each side.”

Construction is scheduled to last approximately five months and the bridge will be closed in both directions to motorists. Detours will be posted and traffic signal timings will be adjusted to minimize delays. Driveway access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project.

Additionally, this link from the Engineer's Office contains an interactive map with businesses and detours.
