Community Risk Reduction Division

The Community Risk Reduction Division ensures that buildings, businesses, and new construction in the community are built and maintained according to the most up-to-date safety codes. The division provides plan review, inspection services and a variety of programs that promote safety education and fire prevention.  Inspections services include all businesses, churches, schools, and restaurants within the City of Centerville and Washington Township.

• The division provides plan review for new construction as well as renovations of existing buildings.  The fire department works closely with the Washington Township Zoning Department, the City of Centerville Building Department and the Montgomery County Building Department.
  
  
• Inspection services include annual inspections of all businesses, churches, schools and restaurants within Washington Township and the City of Centerville.  Services also include home inspections for foster and adoptive families and tent inspections for outdoor events.

• Educational services include car seat safety checks, CPR Classes, fire extinguisher training and a variety of educational visits with students throughout the Centerville School District.
