Behind the Scenes for Fire Prevention Week

The Washington Township Fire Department took residents behind the scenes for virtual tours of our five fire stations during National Fire Prevention week, October 5-9.

Videos from a different fire station were posted each day and featured the distinctive apparatus and equipment located at each station. Virtual tours and live action videos ran the gamut -- from climbing the 105-foot ladder truck at Station 41 to extinguishing a real fire at the training tower. “Even though we weren't able to have traditional open houses this fall, we came up with some creative ways to engage and educate the community throughout Fire Prevention Week,” said Fire Chief Scott Kujawa.
