The bridge repairs are complete and the road is open to all traffic.

Beginning the week of July 12, the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office replaced a bridge on Lyons Road. The bridge crosses Holes Creek and is located approximately 300 feet west of Yankee Street. According to the Engineer’s Office, “the existing bridge is encountering significant deterioration, has a 20-ton vehicle weight limit, and is supported by temporary jacks. The new bridge will accommodate five lanes and have raised sidewalks on each side.”

Construction lasted approximately five months and the bridge was closed in both directions to motorists.
