CPR Instruction for the Public

Class information and availability

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an important skill that can be learned by almost anyone. If you would like to protect the lives of your loved ones or friends, please consider taking one of our classes. Courses are available for the general public, for those involved in healthcare services, and for those who are not medically licensed but who are required to have certification.

Additional classes may be scheduled for special groups or circumstances. Please contact us at least 30 days in advance to schedule a special class.

Registration must be made in person at Fire Headquarters, 8320 McEwen Rd. Cash or Check accepted.

Location for All CPR Training
Washington Township Fire Department Training Center at 8320 McEwen Rd. Park behind the fire station & enter through the training room door in the middle of the building.

Class Information & Schedules 

Heartsaver CPR AED Course

The Heartsaver course includes instruction in adult, child and infant CPR. The course also includes instruction in how to use AEDs to administer life-saving shock. Cost is $35. Classes are held 6 to 10 pm Thursday on these dates:

November 21 December 19

Heartsaver CPR AED Course with First-Aid

The Heartsaver Course is offered to those who may be required to have certification by an employer, but who are not medically licensed or certified. Instruction on adult, child and infant CPR is included, plus first-aid. Classes are held Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm. Cost is $45. Checks should be made payable to Washington Township Fire Fighters Association. Books are included in the registration fee.

Healthcare Providers Course

This class is for people who are medically licensed or certified (EMT, RN, MD, DO, nursing students or nurse assistants). Instruction includes adult, child and infant CPR, as well as AED instruction.

The class is held 8 am to 12:30 pm on the Saturdays listed below, if a minimum of three people sign up for the class. Registration and the $40 registration fee are required by the Monday before class. Checks should be made payable to Washington Township Fire Fighters Association. The fee includes books.
