Keep up with all the exciting renovations happening to your fitness center here and on Facebook.

Pass holders have access to the entire fitness center located in the RecPlex East building. Patrons are encouraged to complete an orientation on how to safely and effectively use the equipment and to work out whenever the fitness center is open.

Orientations dates are listed on the calendar and appointments are recommended.

Fitness Programs

Senior Fit - Improving your strength and range of motion will improve your ability to stand, bend and walk more smoothly and with less pain. The focus of this class is on toning muscles and building overall strength. There will also be a stretching component for more flexibility. A chair is provided, bring water and an elastic band with you to class. Class is limited to 30 participants. Classes are held M/W from 10:15-11:00a and M/W/F from 11:15a to noon.

Stretch & Strength Training
- Stretch and strength training is held Tuesdays from 11a to noon.

Sports

Short Tennis

Pass holders can play a mini version of tennis three days per week using a shorter court, lower net, softer ball and smaller racket. The rules of the game are pretty much the same as regular tennis and it's just as much fun. Head to the RecPlex West gym on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11a until 12:30p to see if short tennis is the game for you.

Table Tennis

If you want a great workout fueled by a little competition, try a rousing game of doubles table tennis. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30-3:30 pm, the big gym at RecPlex West is packed with Intermediate-Advanced players honing their skills. Registration is required and the cost is $2.50 for pass holders, $3 for residents and $4 for non-residents. 

Pickleball

This fun and active paddle sport combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Pickleball is available fall, winter and spring on Sundays from 1:00-3:00p. Registration is required and the cost is $2.50 for pass holders, $3 for residents and $4 for nonresidents.
