A Month of Magic Comes to Countryside Park

Woodland Lights returns with the traditional lights and sights people have come to love and a month loaded with holiday activities. The Miami Valley's most beloved lighting festival opens the weekend before Thanksgiving when friends and family are gathered to celebrate the start of the holidays.

Woodland Lights offers the beauty of lights sparkling along a half-mile wooded path and reflecting against a woodland pond, plus a view of whimsical characters and illuminated critters preparing for the holidays. Every night until Christmas, kids can visit Santa Claus in his historic log cabin.

More Activities Every Night!

Every night features amusement rides for kids and adults, live animals, carriage rides, bonfires and concessions provided by a variety of local vendors.

A rotating cast of colorful costumed characters - Olaf, Ana, the Grinch, Buddy the Elf, Mickey, Minnie - will be wandering the park on various nights!

Special nights include Pet Nights with SICSA, train nights, visits from the cast of Town Hall Theatre's Junior Claus and other special nights!

A Warm and Inviting Place to Visit with Santa Claus

Every night Santa welcomes children to his cabin nightly through December 23. Just walk down a sparkling path to an historic log cabin that's decorated in lights and festooned with greenery. Everything about the log home is authentic -- from the large beams overhead to the old limestone fireplace. A fire burns each night in a large hearth near Santa's chair, greenery is draped across the mantle, and a holiday tree sits in the corner. The cabin offers an inviting, non-commercial alternative for visiting Santa.

For People With Limited Mobility

Our Woodland Lights path is paved and fully accessible for strollers, walkers and wheel chairs. For areas where special accommodations may be required, including steps leading into Santa's cabin or onto our horse drawn carriage, please let our gate staff know how we may be of assistance when you arrive.

When it is available, a golf cart option is offered for people who have limited mobility. Commercial passenger vehicles also are permitted on some portions of the path on select nights with advance registration. Please contact our staff by email or call 937-433-0130 to discuss how we can best accommodate your needs on the night of your visit.
