Aqua Classes

Ages 16+

Deep Water Fitness -Improve flexibility, increase cardiovascular fitness, build muscle, and core strength. Aqua belts are used to help stabilize buoyancy in the deep water.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own buoyancy belt.  A shallow water entrance is offered.

Shallow Water –Shallow water exercise class for cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and toning. Great for beginners to aqua exercise but challenging enough for the advanced student.

Aqua Fit - A low impact, high-intensity, cardiovascular, strength, core, and flexibility workout.  A combination of Tabata, noodles and weights could be used in any given class.  Appropriate for all fitness levels.  Instructors add their own individual style and flair.

EZ Aqua – A slow paced warm water gentle movement exercise class that is just what the doctor ordered for arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, high blood pressure or pre/post-surgery to improve flexibility, balance, and joint mobility.


Mind & Body Classes

Ages 16+

Pilates – Stretch, breathe, focus, rejuvenate! Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.

Gentle Yoga Students learn various poses and breathing techniques from Steve Chappel, helping achieve better health and general well-being in a gentle way.  Participants should wear loose-fitting clothing and bring a Yoga mat. 

Chair Yoga - Chair Yoga is an adapted yoga practice that allows you to utilize a chair while practicing yoga focused poses.  It can be practiced by anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of yoga and may (or may not) have mobility limitations.  For example, chair yoga is great for anyone who needs more support, is managing an injury, or wants a more therapeutic approach to the practice. 

Tai Chi – Meditation in motion! Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements in addition to relieving stress, improving range of motion and flexibility. Reduce stress and get an awesome workout. Our instructor has over 28 years of experience as a martial arts instructor and is a 5th degree black belt.

Tai Chi Intermediate – Meditation in motion!  Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements in addition to relieving stress, improving range of motion and flexibility.  Reduce stress and get an awesome workout.  Our instructor Diane Massie has over 28 years of experience as a martial arts instructor and is a 5th degree black belt.  Intermediate Tai Chi, is a martial arts practice that promotes holistic health using movements involving powerful stretching, breathing and mental focus.  The movements are easy to learn, practice and remember.  Some of the many benefits of this class include tension relief, increased muscle tone, improved range of motion and flexibility, and increased mental focus and awareness.  No special clothing is required.  Students registering for Intermediate Korean Tai Chi must have completed 2 sessions of beginner class or have approval of instructor.


Cardio & Strength Classes

Zumba® - A great workout that combines high/low intensity moves for an interval style, calorie burning dance fitness party. Both Latin and World rhythms combine cardio, conditioning, balance and flexibility.  It’s “exercise in disguise”.

LaBlast® - It’s accessible for all levels – from the absolute beginner to the experienced dancer. Experience the full array of dance styles from Jive to Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz to Lindy Hop set to your favorite music like pop and rock, hip-hop and country. Whether you want to tone your body, maintain a healthy lifestyle, learn to dance, or just have a great time, LaBlast® offers something for everyone.

REFIT – A fun cardio and toning workout that uplifts and inspires everybody and every BODY, regardless of your fitness level or experience.  Give REFIT a try and chances are you too will be inspired to join our fun-loving community.

REV+FLOW by REFIT® - A dynamic low impact, high-intensity workout that emphasizes strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance. The workout is easy on joints and challenges mind and body with unique movements choreographed to uplifting music.  Supportive fitness shoes are required. Most of the class is performed standing and ends with a few mat-based floor routines.  A thick 5/8" yoga mat is recommended. Light hand weights (2-5 lbs.) are optional.

Pound - Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.
Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable, and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to rockstars of all ages and abilities.

Drums Alive – Power Beats – Explore the exhilarating power of drum fitness!  Classes are designed for full body cardio.  Drumbata, tone and strengthen, Fit Clix and wellness routines.  Feel the pulsating rhythms of drumming while you sweat, dance, and have fun with upbeat dance fitness and cultural themes. 

Body Sculpt –A resistance training class to sculpt muscles, strengthen your core and increase flexibility. Free weights, bands, hand weights and stability ball may be used.

Strength & Stretch Stay strong and limber with instructor Edeltraude Kunke. Handheld weights and body weight will be used to help you stay strong and slow stretches will be performed to help you stay limber. 

TRX – A form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.  TRX is adaptable for the beginner through the experience fitness user.  You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise.


Martial Arts

Tae Kwon Do Martial art practice that teaches focus, concentration, muscle development, balance and gross motor coordination while targeting behavior development, awareness of others, self-confidence, and character development.  Students in the Beginner class do not belt test and a uniform is not required.  Belt testing occurs in the Intermediate/Advanced class to allow instructors to evaluate individual abilities, encouraging students to excel to their personal best.  Intermediate/advanced students develop strength with increasingly challenging calisthenics and aerobic Tae Kwon Do moves, balance with focused kicking actions, coordination through sparring drills, speed with striking and kicking exercises, concentration through pattern memorization and focus with eye-hand and eye-foot target exercises. Ages 6 & Up

Krav Maga Beginner & Intermediate – Simple, natural, and effective self-defense based on simple principles, natural movements and practical techniques.  A favorite among law enforcement agencies, military personnel and anyone interested in self-defense.

Krav Maga – Women's Class – Women's self-defense class; Simple, natural and effective self-defense based on simple principles, natural movements and practical techniques.  A favorite among law enforcement agencies, military personnel and anyone interested in self-defense.

Kids Beginner Hula Dance
Fill your mind & heart with Aloha Spirit as you learn the basic steps &full dance routines of Polynesian hula dance from the South Pacific islands.

Kids Performance Hula Dance Must complete Kids Beginner Hula Dance to register for this class.  Please contact instructor Olohana Strong 937-581-4503.  This class will continue to advance your hula skills.  Learn & perform full dance routines of Polynesian hula dance from the South Pacific islands.  Our performances are dance recitals and events that give back to our community and to spread Aloha Spirit.  Aloha Spirit is the coordination of mind and heart.  It brings the person to the self.  Living with Aloha Spirit means to emote love, kindness & joyful feelings to others.

Adult Beginner Hula Dance – Fill your mind & heart with Aloha Spirit as you learn the basic steps & full dance routines of Polynesian hula dance from the South Pacific islands. 

Intermediate Hula Dance – After completing the beginners class, challenge yourself to advance your hula skills by diving deeper into the basic steps. Learn hula dances from ancient style hula and modern.

Tiki Tots (Ages 3-5) Bring your littles for some hula dance movement and sing along time to our favorite island music!  Parent/guardian must remain with toddler the entire class.  (Kids/siblings not taking class may NOT be left unattended to sit on their own during class.)

Polynesian Warrior Dance Join us to learn warrior dances of the South Pacific such as the Maori Haka from New Zealand, the Samoan Sasa and more!  The haka was used on the battlefield to prepare warriors mentally and physically for battle, but it was also performed when groups came together in peace.


Active Older Adult Classes

Silver Sneakers® Classic - Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.

Senior Fit – Focus on toning muscles and building strength with stretches and exercises. Elastic bands, hand weights and small exercise balls are used.  Chairs are provided for the class.

Drums Alive – Golden Beats – Stimulate the mind and body with cardio drumming, stretch and tone, creative dance and get fit.  Classes are designed for seated to standing workouts using stability balls, buckets, drumsticks, scarves, maracas for a whole body-brain workout.  All equipment provided – No experience needed.  50+ years of age.
