Home Security Audits
The township offers free Home Security Audits to residents who desire information and advice on how to improve the security of their home. A trained deputy will meet residents at their property to conduct a comprehensive review of interior and exterior security factors – including doors, windows, locks, lighting, landscaping and more.
Based on the audit, the officer will provide customized suggestions about how to improve home security. To schedule a Home Security Audit, email or call Deputy Bill Jones at 937-432-2771.
Vacation House Checks
Vacation house checks from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office can help improve your peace of mind the next time you're away from home. The service is free to travelers, whether they're leaving for a weekend getaway or a month-long journey.
House checks are done at least once each day while residents are away. Typically, deputies walk around the home, testing windows and doors and looking for signs of change.
How to Schedule Your House Check
Residents should make their request a few days before leaving town. Application for a house check can be made by completing the online form. Residents also may call 937-225-HELP(4357) and a dispatcher will collect their information.
