Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Prescription Drug Drop-Off

Old medications can be safely disposed of at a secure prescription drug drop-off box in the lobby of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Washington Township Substation, 8190 McEwen Rd. Deposits can be made 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 

Accepted for drop-off:

  • prescription medications, including legal narcotics
  • over-the-counter medications
  • herbals
  • veterinary medications

Not accepted: 

  • needles
  • sharps containers
  • liquids
  • biohazard materials
  • illegal drugs

Super Service Saturdays

Residents can dispose of expired and unwanted medications at periodic Super Service Saturday events that also include free document shredding and child safety seat checks.

The program is anonymous, with no questions asked. Identifying information, drug name and dosage information may be removed if desired. All types of medications are accepted. For the safety of those involved in these events, absolutely no needles, sharps containers, or Illegal substances will be accepted.

Medication Disposal

Medications are stored by the sheriff's office until they are collected for safe disposal by the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
