Choose from Six Annual Blood Drives

COVID-19 Update: Blood drives are more important than ever.

With schools closed, more than 45 percent of blood drives have been canceled. We urge you to make an appointment to donate.

Blood donations help save lives by keeping the Community Blood Center stocked with an adequate supply. Donors must be at least 16-years old, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in generally good health. A photo ID is required at the time of donation.

Donors may  schedule an appointment using sponsor code 533.

Procedures Will Change for May 14 Blood Drive

The May 14 Blood Drive will take place 1 to 7 pm at the Community Blood Center bus in the parking lot of Washington Twp. Fire Department Headquarters, 8320 McEwen Rd.

The time allotted is longer than usual so that blood center staff can take extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Measures include following social distancing protocol and aseptic technique such as cleaning every step of the way and using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Most blood drives have taken place on buses this spring, so staff is well prepared to take donations in this way.

The May blood drive is the third of six drives in 2020. Click on the date to see the flier containing more information:
