In honor of National Fire Prevention Week (October 5-11), the Washington Township Fire Department is opening its doors and welcoming the community to a week of fun, hands-on open houses!
Each evening, a different fire station will host an open house from 5-7 pm, showcasing the unique equipment and apparatus used at that location. Families are encouraged to stop by one night – or all five!
Kids (and kids at heart!) can climb aboard fire trucks, try on real firefighter gear, and meet the men and women who help keep our community safe 24/7. It’s a great way to learn more about fire safety and see what life is like behind the station doors.
Monday, October 6: Station 41, 716 E. Franklin Street
