Programs
All RecPlex programs and activities are inclusive, and we invite people with disabilities to participate in all our opportunities. We also have certain programs that have been specifically adapted for individuals with differing needs.
AccessAbility: A collaboration between the Washington Township RecPlex, Centerville-Washington Park District, and Washington-Centerville Public Library, AccessAbility rotates locations based on the monthly host. Activities will be adapted to give participants of all ages and abilities an enriching sensory, social, and physical experience.
Sports: Basketball and t-ball leagues are played with lower hoops and nets and color coordinated bases, added as needed, with flags at eye-level to ensure a fun experience for children of all abilities.
Summer Camps: RecPlex summer camp staff have received Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training to learn how to better manage difficult behaviors using techniques that quickly identify and de-escalate behavior. This training allows our staff to better serve campers and creates an inclusive environment for children of all cognitive and physical abilities.
