The year 2026 brings two remarkable milestones – America’s 250th anniversary and Washington Township’s 230th birthday. There are events taking place across the country, including right here in Centerville-Washington Township, thanks to a community-wide collaboration between Washington Township, the City of Centerville, Washington-Centerville Public Library, Centerville-Washington Park District, Centerville-Washington History, the Americana Festival, and Centerville City Schools.

The Great American Community Garage Sale

Dust off those treasures, clear out the garage, and get ready for a red-white-and-blue tradition! Washington Township and the City of Centerville are proud to announce The Great American Community Garage Sale. The community-wide event will take place Thursday, April 30 through Saturday, May 2 from 8 am-5 pm daily.

Cruise-In to the Ice Cream Social

11 am-3 pm

This annual family-friendly event features classic cars, games, free RecPlex activities, complimentary food and free ice cream. Annual favorites also include painting a fire truck, shooting water at a pretend fire, and meeting Sparky the fire dog.
