Swim Lessons
Our classes teach people of all ages to swim and remain safe when they are in and around water. Classes follow American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program criteria and are taught by certified Red Cross Water Safety instructors.
The five-level program covers aquatic skills and knowledge in a logical progression and addresses the personal characteristics of each swimmer, such as age, body size, knowledge, skill, learning style, personality, and experiences.
Participants learn a variety of strokes, including the front and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, and butterfly. They're also introduced to a wide range of personal safety skills and diving techniques. Courses are fun and interactive with hands-on training. More advanced students refine their skills, learn the basics of springboard diving, and discover how to incorporate swimming into a life fitness plan.
