About our Programs & Facility

We are proud to offer top notch programs in swimming, diving and aquatic fitness within our premier facility at the RecPlex. Progressive swim lessons are offered for every skill level and age -- from 6 months through adult. School age kids also can take diving lessons or join our dive team.

competition pool

A variety of aquatic fitness classes also take place in the pool. Looking for something less structured? Many open swim times are offered for serious lap swimmers or for those who just want to play. Our 8-lane competition lap pool is 25 yards long and has a diving well. It also includes two corkscrew water slides for those who meet the height requirements. Additionally, it has a pool lift for those who need assistance.

Our smaller rec pool is perfect for young children and includes a froggy slide, a rain tree and a turtle water feature. The rec pool is zero entry, meaning there are no steps to navigate. Please note that children 4 andrec pool younger must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Most days, the small rec pool is open from 11:00am-12:00pm for preschool age children to use. No membership required, simply pay the drop in rate.

 Lifeguard Training

Classes follow American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program criteria and are taught by certified Red Cross Water
register hereSafety instructors. The five-level program covers aquatic skills and knowledge in a logical progression and addresses the personal characteristics of each swimmer, such as age, body size, knowledge, skill, learning style, personality and experiences. Participants learn a variety of strokes, including the front and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. They're also introduced to a wide range of personal safety skills and diving techniques. Courses are fun and interactive with hands-on training. More advanced students refine their skills, learn the basics of springboard diving, and discover how to incorporate swimming into a life fitness plan.

Free Swim Lesson Evaluations

Swim evaluations are offered by appointment before each registration. Please call 937-433-0130 or send an email to set up an evaluation time. Instructors will evaluate children for placement into lessons and provide each child with an evaluation form that's required for registration.

Who should be evaluated? - Children who have missed a session should attend because their skill level may have declined since their last class. Fun With Me, Preschool I and Level I enrollees do not require an evaluation.

How does it work? - All evaluations take place in the large pool. Have your child in a bathing suit with a towel and go to the marked bleacher area nearby.

Please note that swim evaluations do not register your child for swim class.

Diving Lesson Evaluations

Diving lessons evaluations are required in most cases. Contact Addie Weaver at 433-0130 to schedule an evaluation or send an email here.
