The holiday season is upon us, and we're thrilled to share information about the Uptown Holiday Weekend, a festive celebration filled with activities for all ages from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23. Join us for a magical weekend that will bring the community together in the heart of Centerville and Washington Township. The weekend is a collaboration with City of Centerville, Washington Township, Washington Township Town Hall Theatre, Heart of Centerville and Washington Township, Centerville-Washington Park District, Washington-Centerville Public Library, and Centerville-Washington History.
Friday, November 21: Woodland Lights Opening Night
Countryside Park, 895 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, 6-9 pm
Kick off the weekend with the enchanting Woodland Lights at Washington Township’s Countryside Park. Stroll through the beautifully lit half-mile paved path and enjoy the holiday spirit with family and friends. Tickets for Woodland Lights can be purchased at washingtontwp.org or the gate.
Saturday, November 22: Uptown Holiday Concert
Town Hall Theatre, 27 North Main Street, Shows at 4:30 and 7 pm
Get ready for an afternoon and evening of holiday music at the Uptown Holiday Concert featuring The Hauer Swing Band and the Mabarak Family. There will be two shows, one at 4:30 pm and another at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at centervilleohio.gov/tickets.
Sunday, November 23: Uptown Holiday Walk
Uptown Centerville, Intersection of Franklin and Main streets, 2-5 pm
Sunday is packed with family-friendly activities during the Uptown Holiday Walk. Enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa, characters from Fairy Godmother Events and a variety of kids' activities throughout Uptown. Uptown businesses will offer special promotions, and the Heart of Centerville will open a special Holiday Pop-up Shop inside the new Benham’s Grove Event Center with nearly 20 vendors selling unique holiday gifts. The Centerville Community Band Brass will perform inside the Event Center beginning at 4:30 pm.
Sunday, November 23: Holiday Tree Lighting
Benham’s Grove, 166 N. Main Street, 5:30 pm
Conclude the weekend with the Holiday Tree Lighting at Benham's Grove at 5:30 pm, presented by Dayton Children's Hospital. The ceremony will feature performances from Miami Valley Dance Academy, Fairy Godmother Events, Brockman Brothers and more! The first 200 kids at the tree lighting will receive a light-up holiday wand courtesy of our sponsors. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be available inside the Benham’s Grove barn beginning at 5 pm. while supplies last.
