Public Works

The Public Works Department oversees the construction, improvement, and maintenance of Township roads, including sidewalks, traffic signs, traffic signals, curbs, gutters, and the storm sewer system within the public right-of-way. In total, the department staff maintains about 150 miles of roads.

Two other major services are leaf pickup and snow removal. The department also helps implement the Township's streetscape program, such as entry signs and bus stops, and oversees beautification efforts, including public plantings and the township's Visual Improvement Program Committee.

The department maintains public right-of-ways and six cemeteries, including one active cemetery, the Centerville-Washington Township Cemetery on Maple Avenue.

Note: AES Ohio is responsible for vegetation management in the area of their power transmission lines.
