Two free services -- document shredding and drug drop off -- are offered at our Super Saturday events. Services are offered to Centerville-Washington Township residents on a drop-in basis from 10 am-1 pm.
Document Shredding & Disposal
Residents who present a photo ID can dispose of sensitive documents and data storage materials at the Public Works Garage, 8190 McEwen Road. The service is free for Township and City residents.
The Township will accept up to 12 grocery-size bags containing paper, tapes, CDs, and credit cards. Township staff will unload items, and documents will be securely shredded.
A sheriff's deputy from the Washington Township Substation will be on hand to provide information about identity theft. Law enforcement experts recommend that people shred important documents such as invoices, bank statements, canceled checks, medical records, and credit card receipts.

Medication Disposal
Residents can dispose of expired and unwanted medications during Super Service Saturdays at Fire Station 45, 8320 McEwen Rd. All types of medications are accepted EXCEPT needles. For the safety of our staff, no needles will be accepted. The program is anonymous, with no questions asked. Identifying information, drug name, and dosage information may be removed if desired. Illegal substances are not part of the program. Drug Drop-Off is offered by the Washington Township Substation of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Medication disposal also is available at a drop-off box in the lobby of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Washington Township Substation, 8190 McEwen Road. This offers disposal for many, but not all, items accepted at Super Saturday.
