We Enjoyed Hosting the Township's Business Leaders & Managers!

Nearly 80 business leaders and township representatives met October 30 at Rec West for the annual Washington Township Business Breakfast. The morning offered business owners and managers the chance to network, present corporate displays, and to receive information and updates about the township.

business breakfast attendees"It was great to see so many people at the breakfast. Businesses are an important part of our community,” says Trustee President Dale Berry. “The annual breakfast is a way to express our appreciation, share information, and learn more about how we can support their success.”

The guest speaker for the morning was Nora Vondrell, president and CEO of SICSA Pet Adoption Center which will soon soon be opening its new Pet Adoption and Wellness Center in Washington Township. The only “no kill” facility of its kind in the region, SICSA has led the community for three decades in redefining animal shelter, adoption and humane education.

business breakfast attendeesThe Business Breakfast took place in the Rec West Enrichment Center at Rec West, 965 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., on our recreation campus. The Enrichment Center is located on the west side, facing McEwen Road. Networking and displays took place 7:30 to 8 am, followed by a complimentary catered breakfast and presentations.

Who Attends

Invitations were sent in September to businesses located in unincorporated Washington Township.

"Our focus is on the unincorporated portion of the township where we provide all local services, not just fire and recreation as we do in the incorporated area," Berry said. The City of Centerville also hosts its own business breakfast.

Business that do not receive an invitation are still invited to attend if they have a "brick and mortar" facility located in a commercial area of unincorporated Washington Township.
