The Washington Township Fire Department is an award-winning internationally accredited agency providing fire and emergency medical services to Centerville-Washington Township.

 

This is done through a cost-effective combination of full-time, part-time, and part-paid staff. Fire and EMS crews respond from five fire stations strategically located throughout the service area.

The Washington Township Fire Department's mission is to provide exceptional emergency and non-emergency services to enhance the safety and well-being of our community. The department's vision is to provide the highest quality, most effective, safe and compassionate emergency services in the region.

To stay prepared, they receive ongoing instruction in fire suppression, emergency medical services, and specialized rescue techniques. The Fire Department also offers a variety of programs focused on improving community safety, such as placing automated external defibrillators in public locations and training people in their use. Other programs are available to those who contact the department, including CPR training, address locator signs, and Vial of Life materials.
